Why Serve as a District Leader?
District Leaders help clubs thrive by supporting education, membership growth, and leadership development. Along the way, you’ll:
- Build real-world leadership and management experience
- Collaborate with a diverse team of leaders
- Strengthen communication, strategy, and problem-solving skills
- Make a lasting impact on members and clubs across your district
If you enjoy mentoring others, organizing initiatives, and helping people succeed, district leadership may be right for you.
How the District Leadership Nomination Process Works
Here’s the big picture, simplified:
- Explore the roles
Learn about the different District Officer positions and decide which role aligns with your interests and experience. - Submit a nomination
You may nominate yourself or be nominated by another member. - Meet with the District Leadership Committee (DLC)
The DLC reviews nominations and interviews candidates to ensure the best match for each role. - Run for election
Eligible candidates are presented to the District Council and elected at the District Council Meeting. - Prepare for your term
Once elected, you’ll have access to training, handbooks, and tools to help you succeed.
